Even though it's usually only one cashier open, the service has always been friendly. My only issue is that there's not a lot of healthy choices or variety of products here 🥴

The worst supermarket ever!! The service is horrible, the cashiers treat customers very bad and super expensive! They won't change your wic check if your trying to change it on the same day it expires. The quality of everything they sell is TERRIBLE! Lets say you go to buy sliced bread today you better make sure you eat that bread for breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner and snack, because it will expire in a day or 2. The meats, disgusting, always make sure you look at the label cause they be putting label after label to whatever they dont sell! THIS SUPERMARKET IS SUPER DISGUSTING! Oh, and by the way its not called Tropical Supermarket anymore, now its Universal Foods. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!!!

I come here often because is 1 corner from my house. is not a "supermarket" per se because the prices are the same as a local bodega. is not like you will find lower prices and discounts. Good place and very clean
